A very interesting article comes out about Amal Clooneys "pro bono" client Mohamed Nasheed from someone who actually lives in the Maldives. It seems Mr Nasheed ordered the arrest of a judge when he didn't like him releasing one of his critics. Maybe not so innocent as he is being portrayed. Amal Clooney showed up in the Maldives with PR executives and Mr Nasheed who used his office and taxpayers money to befriend celebrities and do many PR stunts is behind bars for a very good reason. It also raises the question why does Amal Clooney support a client who clearly tried to interfere with the judicial system and why someone who does have plenty of money get her to according to her own PR get her to work pro bono? It can't just be because Amal get's to dress up and play lawyer? Of course not. Needless to say many in the Republic of the Maldives aren't happy with the outside interference and showboating by Amal Clooney and co even going to the United Nations to ask for sanctions all for doing something that most countries don't allow the arrest of judges when they make a decision you don't agree with. This is the first time any of these facts have come out because let's face it Amal Clooney and the PR experts fighting for his release aren't going to let the facts get in the way of a good story.
